International Coaching Accreditation
Lexi Sylver: Accredited Relationship & Life Coach
When you're looking for the right coach to help transform your life and relationships, it may be helpful to understand more about the coaching industry and your coach's credentials and experience working with other clients.
Lexi has been a relationship and life coach for over ten years. She decided to complete her coaching accreditation so that she could continue her personal and professional development, and deliver even more long-lasting value to each and every one of her coaching clients. In the process, Lexi achieved one of her goals of discovering a plethora of techniques and methods to best help her clients pursue their passions, express their needs, and live a fulfilling, pleasurable life and experience authentic connections and relationships.
Along with the in-depth education she received while completing her B.A. in Psychology from McGill University, Lexi is passionate as ever about continuing to learn about and research topics that help provide her with an even deeper understanding of human behavior, relationships, leadership, and life.
Receiving her accreditation from The Coaching Masters entailed:
- Completing 68 hours of online training material
- Attending weekly workshops for 1-to-1 coaching practice
- Passing a written knowledge assessment
- Passing a real-life coaching observation assessment, which showed her adherence to standards and ethics, and successfully demonstrated effective coaching skills to help her client discover their own realizations and achieve their goals
The coaching accreditation program Lexi completed:
- Is accredited to a Level 1 by The International Coaching Federation (ICF) for both the training material and the trainers, which required a rigorous and comprehensive assessment to ensure the absolute highest standards of the ICF.
- Is accredited to a Level 4 equivalent by The International Authority for Professional Coaching & Mentoring (IAPC&M) for both the training material and the trainers, to the highest standards of the IAPC&M.
- Has earned official certification from the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and is aligned with international standards. A team of seasoned CPD assessors has meticulously reviewed the TCM accreditation course.

Understanding Coaching Regulations
The Coaching industry is self-regulated: there is no official government, no legally agreed standard, no official or agreed course content, and there is a wide variation in levels of competency. So the industry has set up its own standards in order to try and maintain some form of regulation and quality.
There are a number of these self-governing groups, organizations, associations, and bodies, including the above-mentioned ICF and IAPC&M, who have set up an independent business in order to establish a self-perceived standard of quality, which is reflected in how they each believe coaching should be taught, practiced, and accredited. However, these are just businesses, and there are no associations, bodies, or institutions that are mandatory to join or achieve in order to be able to learn, teach, or apply coaching.
